Palestinian media outlets are reporting today (Thursday) that Muhammad Allan, a terrorist member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad who went on hunger strike while in an Israeli prison, was arrested again. According to the Palestinian media, Allan was arrested near Einabus next to Nablus where he resides. The Israeli security establishment confirmed that Allan was arrested claiming that he was questioned and then released.
Allan was hospitalized last September at Barzilai Hospital as a result of the brain damage caused by his hunger strike in prison. After being released, he was once again arrested. The Israel Police waited for him inside the hospital compound and transported him to another detention. Immediately following his arrest, Allan began another hunger strike.
Allan served a prison sentence from 2006-2009 after recruiting a terrorist to carry out a suicide bombing. In 2014, Allan was arrested under an administrative detention order for six months and his sentence was lengthened to November 2015. In June of 2015, Allan began his first hunger strike at Eshel Prison in protest of his detainment without a trial.
