Palestinian media outlets claimed on Sunday afternoon that IDF troops opened fire on protesters near Khan Yunis. According to the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa, two Palestinians were shot in the leg by IDF soldiers on the other side of the fence. They were transported to a local hospital.
The news agency added that other protesters inhaled teargas and another Palestinian man was injured by Israeli fire near the al-Zaytoon neighborhood.
The Quds News Network, which is affiliated with Hamas, uploaded graphic footage to social media sites that alleges to show a man who was injured by Israeli sniper fire. The social media posts claimed that Israeli troops “seriously injured a Palestinian young man with special needs.”
The IDF has not commented on the reports.
