Paraguayan President Horacio Cartes arrived in Israel on Sunday to participate in his country’s embassy opening in Jerusalem on Monday.
“On behalf of Israel, I thank you for your decision to move the Paraguayan embassy to Jerusalem. This decision is a demonstration of the depth of our relations and constitutes further strengthening of our sovereignty in Jerusalem,” Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said when welcoming Cartes at the airport. “Paraguay has proved to be a true friend to Israel. I praise the president for his support and leadership.”
The Embassy of Paraguay is the third embassy to be opened in one week in #Jerusalem. Those are extraordinary times, in which our beloved capital receives its due international recognition. A great time for Israeli diplomacy !
