US Vice President Mike Pence has delayed his upcoming visit to Israel by a few days, the Knesset confirmed on Thursday.
The reason for the postponement is a US Congressional vote on tax reform. Pence is still expected to speak at the Knesset during his visit.
Pence’s visit comes amid an outrage in the Arab World over President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
On Wednesday, JOL reported that the keyholder of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, Adeeb Jawad Joudeh, has refused to meet with Pence as a form of protest.
Furthermore, the Joint Arab List party has announced that it would boycott Pence’s Knesset speech.
