Palestinian reports from Tuesday morning claim that Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Shalah is in a coma, according to Hadashot news. While several Palestinian media outlets assert that Shalah’s condition was caused by a stroke, one report states that he may have been poisoned by the Mossad and “an intelligence agency of another country that operates in the region.”
Quds Press quoted a PIJ terrorist who said that Shalah had surgery in Lebanon due to the stroke several weeks ago and has since been in a coma. However, a Fatah official has claimed that the security chief at the Palestinian embassy in Beirut said in a report that Shalah may have been poisoned.
While the PIJ was initially silent about poisoning report, a senior member of the terrorist organization eventually commented on it, saying that Shalah was not the target of an assassination attempt.
