Four Israeli settlers were arrested three weeks ago after throwing stones at undercover police officers disguised as Palestinian farmers.

The operation took place near the unauthorized outpost of Geulat Zion, located in the Shiloh settlement bloc of the Binyamin region. A police force joined a group of Palestinian farmers in order to attract extremists from the nearby hills.

The settlers who threw the stones, three of them minors, were indicted two weeks ago for assault based on nationalistic motives. Their lawyers claim their clients were “ambushed” and say some of the Palestinian farmers were also filmed throwing stones but were not indicted.
