Actress Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, has been hospitalized in critical condition after suffering from a heart attack on a plane.

Yesterday (Friday), Actress Carrie Fisher, famous for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, suffered a heart attack during a flight to the US and is hospitalized in critical condition.

According to reports, the incident occurred on the flight from London to Los Angeles close to landing. 60-year-old Fisher received initial treatment from the flight crew and was rushed to the hospital by emergency services upon landing.  

Fisher’s brother told The Associated Press news outlet that she is receiving excellent care but her condition remains unclear. “We have to wait and be patient,” he added. “We have so little information ourselves.”

Other than her role as Princess Leia, Fisher acted in several movies, television series, plays and published several bestseller books.
