Nadiya Al Noor, a pro-Israel Muslim college student proudly wearing a hijab, who happens to have Jewish relatives and has been active promoting Muslim-Jewish interfaith relations in the US, recently uploaded a video to Facebook proclaiming: “I am an American Muslim and I love Jerusalem. I love Jerusalem because it is a symbol of the Jewish people. It has been destroyed, besieged, attacked and captured so many times throughout history. And yet today, it is a thriving city. It is a reminder that the Jewish people will persevere through everything that comes their way.”

“It is a city rich with history and significance for Jews, Christians and Muslims,” she proclaimed. “It is perhaps the holiest city in the world in that regard. It is the city where incredible artifacts are being unearthed. It is a stunning city from the Western Wall to the Mount of Olives. Jerusalem is inseparable from Judaism. Each stone tells a story. It is bustling on Friday morning and peacefully quiet on Saturday afternoon. It is a city where its sheer holiness can drive someone to their knees in awe. It is a fusion of my Jewish heritage and my Muslim faith. I have never been to Israel but one day I hope to visit Jerusalem and to explore it in all its glory.”
