For the first time in 28 years, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II did not participate in the traditional New Year’s Day church service at Sandringham. Buckingham Palace officials stated this morning (Sunday): “The Queen does not yet feel ready to attend church as she is still recuperating from a heavy cold.”
The Queen has not been seen in public for 12 days due to her severe cold. According to Buckingham Palace, her husband Prince Philip also fell ill. However, he was well enough to attend the service. Many in Britain are now concerned about the 90-year-old’s health.
