Several hours after Paris dealt with a terrorist threat near the famous Louvre museum, an Egyptian news outlet published a picture of the suspect.
According to the report, the suspect, who attempted to stab a French soldier with a machete and was shot, is 29-year-old Abdallah El-Hamahmy from Northern Cairo.
Shortly before the attack, El-Hamahmy tweeted: “In the name of Allah… for our brothers in Syria and fighters across the world.”
As reported yesterday by JOL, French President François Hollande congratulated the soldiers for preventing the terror attack.
