Maltese media have reported that the Airbus A320 had 118 people on board and that the hijackers were threatening to blow it up.

A passenger plane was hijacked over Libya and was forced to land in Malta, according to reports on Maltese media.
The Airbus A320 was flying inside Libya for state-owned airline Afriqiyah Airways. Malta’s Prime Minister has tweeted that the aircraft had 118 people on board.
Some reports said the hijackers were threatening to blow the plane up. Their demands are still not clear.
