According to Palestinian news outlets, a Palestinian man was shot in the chest and killed by the IDF during riots near Khan Yunis in Gaza today (Friday).
The escalation and violence come a day after the UN rejected the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Following the UN vote, many protests were sparked in the Arab countries, including Jordan. Earlier, an Israeli man was lightly injured after rioters threw stones at his car near Ariel.

As reported earlier by JOL, Hamas Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar called on Palestinians to increase the violence: “In the West Bank, in Jerusalem, in the Gaza Strip and everywhere Arabs and Palestinians are, we must respond quickly and cause a day of bloodshed,” Sinwar told hundreds of Gazan protesters.
Similarly to the past two Fridays, the Israeli security establishment didn’t limit any Muslims from entering the Temple Mount, a decision which has proved to be effective in limiting the riots in East Jerusalem.
