Following reports of battery explosions along with other issues, the South Korean conglomerate announced that they will cease sales of the new smartphone and asked those who have bought it to return it for testing.

Following yesterday’s reports that Samsung ceased sales of their new smartphone, Galaxy Note 7, the company issued a statement this morning (Friday) claiming they will do a global recall of the devices already sold due to reports of battery explosions.
The number of customers to be affected still remains unknown. The company issued a statement claiming they will cease sales of the product in order ‘to ensure that they continue to deliver the highest quality products to customers.’ The company chose not to directly address the claims of battery explosions.
