Yesterday, Israeli Defence Forces soldiers were escorting a bus filled with hikers to Tel Dotan archaeological site in the northern West Bank when they saw two gunmen shooting at the bus.

After an exchange of fire, one terrorist was wounded and treated at the scene before being to Hillel-Yaffe Hospital in Hadera where he is reported to be in critical condition, but the second terrorist escaped.

After an intensive manhunt, the IDF has announced today that the second shooter has been captured.

“Following searches by IDF troops in the region, the suspect turned himself into security forces. He is now being handed over to the Shin Bet security service for interrogation,” the IDF said in a statement.

The statement also confirmed that no Israeli injuries were recorded.
