The United States has intelligence reports attesting to the death of Osama Bin Laden’s son. Hamza Bin Laden, 30, was actively sought after by the US and has been described as a “key leader” of al-Qaeda, NBC reported on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump refused to acknowledge the reports. “I do not want to comment on that,” he said. The Pentagon also did not comment on the report.
In March, the US State Department announced that it would offer a $ 1 million reward to anyone providing information about Hamza Bin Laden’s whereabouts. According to the State Department, Hamza had become the new leader of al-Qaeda, and that he was probably hiding in a border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In recent years, Hamza bin Laden has released videos calling on his followers to avenge the death of his father.
