Today (Tuesday), a Palestinian suspect was shot after approaching an IDF post between the Palestinian city of Salfit and the Israeli city of Ariel. Initial reports stated that the suspect was armed with a knife, although it was later revealed that he was not armed.

The incident took place when a group of terrorists approached the security fence of Ariel and started rioting and throwing stones. In response, an IDF force opened in pursuit of one of the stone throwers until they reached the outskirts Salfit, where the shooting took place. The suspect was seriously injured and was evacuated to a hospital for further treatment.

“During the day, a number of Palestinian terror suspects approached an IDF force,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated. “One of them reached into his pocket in a way that looked like he was pulling out a knife. In response, the force shot him. The incident will be investigated.”

As reported yesterday by JOL, gunshots were fired at an IDF post near Ramallah. The soldiers at the scene returned fire and then searched the area for the shooters. No injuries were reported. On Sunday, two terror attacks aimed at busses occurred within an hour. One woman was injured.
