The Israeli consulate in New York remains on lock-down after a suspicious man was arrested outside the building. According to Hadashot news, the arrest was made after a tip about a suicide bomber in the area was received.

Israeli officials in New York were instructed not to leave their hotel due to credible tip about a suicide bomber being in the area of the Israeli consulate, Hadashot news reported on Friday. The consulate building was put on lock-down.
A suspect who was carrying “suspicious equipment” was arrested at the entrance to the building.
The Israeli Foreign Affair’s Ministry said that after the suspect’s arrest, the officials were told that they could leave their hotel. However, the consulate building remains on lock-down.
The suspect is being questioned by law enforcement. His identity has not been released.
