Ahead of US President Donald Trump’s arrival at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, thousands of people staged demonstrations in several Swiss cities protesting his policies and holding banners reading “Trump not welcome.” In addition, 20 protesters reportedly broke through security at the Davos Congress Centre.

Thousands of protesters marched against US President Donald Trump in Switzerland on Tuesday ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos. According to various reports, about 20 protesters broke through security at the Davos Congress Centre.

Demonstrators were seen holding signs reading “Trump not welcome,” and “No Trump, no coal, no gas, no fossil fuels.” They were also shouting anti-capitalist slogans and “wipe out WEF.”

Trump is expected to give a speech in Davos on Friday. As previously reported by JOL, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Trump in Davos on Thursday, where the two are expected to discuss the Iran nuclear deal. Netanyahu will also meet other world leaders at the forum, including Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.
