On June 9, tens of thousands will gather in Tel Aviv for the annual pride parade. The parade is the main event of the city’s week-long pride festival (June 4-10).

This year’s Tel Aviv pride parade will take place on June 9. Last year, the parade drew 200,000 participates, 30,000 of whom came from abroad in order to celebrate the many colors of Tel Aviv’s LGBT community.

The parade is the highlight of the 2017 Tel Aviv Pride Festival. During this week (June 4-10), many events are held throughout the city. Here is a short list of some of the events from the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality press release:

Sunday, June 4: The 1st LGBT Photography Conference & Exhibition 19:00, Tel Aviv Museum of Art

For the first time ever, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art is collaborating with the LGBT community and putting together an expansive photography exhibition. At the event, the photographers and creators will discuss their work and the interplay between art and the LGBT community (free admission).

Monday, June 5: Drag Queens on Stilettos 18:30, Dizengoff Center

It’s time for the annual drag queen race. Dress to impress and cheer the drag queens on while they show off their extravagant outfits and race down Dizengoff Center (free admission).

Monday, June 5: The Israeli Opera Presents: ABBA Hits 19:30, NYX Hotel

The Israeli Opera, in its first ever partnership with Tel Aviv Pride, will produce an unforgettable tribute to ABBA on an outdoor stage at the foot of the NYX Tel Aviv, the official Pride hotel of Tel Aviv Pride 2017 (free admission).

Wednesday, June 7: Slide for Pride 11:00, Hilton Beach

Beat the heat and slide away on a huge inflatable beach slide that will take over Hilton beach for a day (free admission).

Wednesday, June 7: Tel Aviv Pride 2017 VIP Pool Party 16:00, Poli House

As the sun sets over Tel Aviv, join designer Andrew Christian and his Trophy Boys for a party on the rooftop pool of the new Poli House Hotel. Bring your swim gear – jumping in the pool is mandatory (free admission).

Thursday, June 8: Water Park Tel Aviv 12:00, Shefayim Water Park

The sexiest men in the world under the Tel Aviv sun for 12 hours of nonstop fun – sounds like a dream come true! But in case you needed more excitement, we threw in some water slides, a couple of pools, and a playlist full of tunes.

Earlier this month, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality announced that the theme of this year’s pride parade is bisexuality visibility. Tel Aviv will become the first city in the world to host a massive bisexuality-themed pride parade.
