On Monday afternoon, an Israeli was severely injured during a terror attack in Ariel in the West Bank. The victim succumbed to his wounds shortly after arriving at a hospital in central Israel. The terrorist fled the scene and is still at large.

An Israeli man in his 40s was critically injured on Monday afternoon when a Palestinian terrorist armed with two knives stabbed him several times in the West Bank city of Ariel. The victim was treated by Magen David Adom paramedics prior to being taken to a medical center in Petah Tikvah. However, the victim succumbed to his wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The attack took place at around 2:30 PM at a popular hitchhiking spot near Jerusalem Boulevard in the Israeli city. The terrorist apparently approached the Israeli man from behind and then started stabbing him in the chest when he turned around. When the Israeli fell to the ground, the terrorist began to flee the scene in the direction of the Palestinian Kifl Haris village.
A short while ago, a Palestinian assailant stabbed a civilian at a bus station near the entrance of Ariel, north of Jerusalem. An IDF officer who identified the attacker began a pursuit in his vehicle and hit him. The attacker fled. IDF troops are searching the area

An IDF officer who was near the scene spotted the terrorist running with the knives and pursued him. The officer slammed into him with his car and caused him to drop the knives. However, the terrorist still managed to get up and continued to run toward the village.

Israeli security forces have launched a manhunt for the terrorist, who may have had help fleeing the scene. The IDF and Shin Bet have sealed off the area.
