An indictment was filed today (Thursday) in the Jerusalem District Court against a Palestinian terrorist for two counts of attempted murder. The terrorist stabbed two police officers last month in Jerusalem. According to the indictment, the terrorist planned the attack in advance and left a farewell message to his family members and friends on his Facebook page.
In the Facebook post, 20-year-old Iman Kurd from Kafr ‘Aqab in East Jerusalem wrote to his family members and friends: “Know that I didn’t leave because I was mad at you guys.” Kurd also requested that his relatives not mourn his death if he is eliminated: “I want to hear you rejoicing.”
On September 19, Kurd took a kitchen knife and traveled in a taxi to Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate. He noticed the two police officers and followed them until they reached Herod’s Gate. He then attacked the police officers with the knife.
