This past Friday a 17-year-old Israeli woman, Rina Shnerb, was killed and two members of her family were seriously injured after a bomb exploded at the Ein Bubin springs site near the Dolev settlement in the West Bank.

The father, 46, and his 20-year-old son were transported by helicopter to a Jerusalem hospital in critical condition. The 17-year-old girl was in critical condition and treated at the scene of the attack by doctors, before succumbing to her injuries.

The funeral of 17-year-old Rina Shnerb took place in the Israeli city of Lod where she lived

Her hospitalized father was unable to attend the ceremony but delivered a message via his brother: ”To deal with the strength and love we have and the wonderful nation we have here in this great land of ours”.

Israeli army chief Aviv Kochavi visited the scene of the attack and imposed an early curfew on all surrounding settlements. After surveying the area, soldiers entered the nearby Palestinian city of Beitunia to retrieve surveillance camera footage to try to identify possible suspects. The presence of Israeli forces, however, led to clashes with residents who threw stones at the military. No injuries were reported.

Israeli news sources have reported that the IDF arrested one of the perpetrators in the village of Ein Qiniya and two others were arrested in Ein Arik.
