President-elect Donald Trump hosted several senior level officials at his New Jersey estate over the weekend including former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. The two met yesterday (Saturday) and according to sources close to Trump’s headquarters, Romney is being considered for the Secretary of State position. Trump described the meeting as “great.”
In a past interview, Romney criticized Trump, warning that a Trump presidency could bring “trickle-down racism” to the nation.
“One of the things that drives Governor Romney is a sense of duty and I think that sense of duty is what’s driving him to help President-elect Trump in any way he can as he puts together a government,” Kevin Madden said on CNN’s “New Day” on Friday.
