US President Donald Trump welcomed Jordan’s King Abdullah II to the White House Wednesday and expressed his commitment to promoting negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
Trump said he was “working very, very hard” to bring about a peace deal and hopes to be successful. Abdullah then said Arab countries will do what it takes in order to bring the parties to the negotiating table.
The president also thanked Abdullah for his country’s partnership in the fight against ISIS. “We will destroy ISIS and protect civilization. We have no choice,” Trump said.
