Following his speech at the Israel Museum, US President Donald Trump told Israeli Opposition Chairman Isaac Herzog that he is serious about the negotiations with the Palestinians.

Following his speech at the Israel Museum today (Tuesday), US President Donald Trump met with Israeli Opposition Chairman Isaac Herzog (Labor). Trump clarified that he is serious about a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. Herzog replied that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have the opposition’s support.
Other than Herzog and Trump, Netanyahu and Sheldon Adelson were also present at the meeting, which only lasted about 10 minutes. According to Israel’s Channel 2 News, Trump told Herzog: “I’m serious about a deal and I’m determined.”

Later, Herzog met with Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner. “We are planning to move fast in starting a diplomatic process in order to reach a deal,” Kushner told him.
