Western officials on Tuesday denounced North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test. US President Donald Trump called the launch “a situation we will handle,” promising to “take care of it.”
The European Union stated that the test is an “unacceptable violation” of Pyongyang’s international obligations. NATO said the test undermines international security.
Tuesday’s launch came just hours after US experts were quoted as saying Pyongyang could conduct a new missile test “within days.” A source who spoke with Reuters on condition of anonymity said the information was based on Japanese reports.
This was the first ballistic missile test conducted by North Korea since September.
