The Tunisian President commented for the first time on the elimination of Mohammed al-Zoari, which occurred about two weeks ago. The president said that the elimination was most likely carried out by foreigners and that if the Mossad was responsible for it, his government will deal with Israel.

About two weeks after the Hamas aviation engineer was eliminated, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi commented on the reports. “The investigation into the assassination indicates that foreign hands carried out the act,” said Essebsi in a speech in honor of the beginning of 2017.

“There is a suspicion that Israel was involved,” added Essebsi. In response to the claims that the Tunisian authorities are incapable of handling the investigation, Essebsi said that his government knows how to deal with Israel if the country was in fact responsible for the elimination of Mohammed al-Zoari.

About two weeks ago, al-Zoari, who was the lead engineer for the terrorist organization’s drone program, was eliminated in Tunisia. Foreign reports claim that the Israeli Mossad was behind the elimination. Hamas also accused Israel of eliminating al-Zoari.
