Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated today in an interview that was held in his country that “in another meeting or two, there will be normalization with Israel.” He expressed faith that there will be an agreement that will include compensation for the Mavi Marmara incident.
In the interview conducted by TRT Haber, the senior level minister clarified one of Turkey’s important principles regarding the negotiations: “We see it as very important that Israel remove barriers that prevent aid to the Palestinians and to Gaza.”
The minister did not relate to Turkey’s demand that Israel end the Gaza blockade that has effectively prevented Hamas from smuggling weapons and other terror infrastructure into the coastal strip.
