Two men, including an Israeli disc jockey, were shot dead this past weekend at a party in northern Mexico by a group of men who opened fire before fleeing.
The San Luis Potosi Police Department Police have just announced that they arrested a man identified as “Victor N.”, aged 29, in connection with the murder of Ronen Dahan, an Israeli DJ, 45, who played under the name ” Perplex “.
Mexican media reported that the suspect, Victor N., had a criminal record and had been convicted of murder two years ago.
Dahan, 45 years of age, of Israeli nationality, lived in the Stockholm area. Before the party, Hahan posted on his Facebook account that he was in San Luis Potosi for a gig. The other victim was identified by the police as 31-year-old Alvaro, and the two other men who were injured are reported to be stable.
There are several drug cartels fighting over the territory of San Luis Potosi, including the notorious Jalisco New Generation. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel is a Mexican criminal group based in Jalisco and headed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”). These gangs contract killers to murder their rivals and dump their bodies in unmarked graves. These contracted killers also murder their targets them in the middle of the street, at parties or in public restaurants on a regular basis.
