The US Justice Department said Thursday that US authorities arrested two men, suspected of being members of Hezbollah’s Unit 910, for planning attacks against Israeli and American targets in Panama.

The two detainees are Ali Koreani, 32, of the Bronx in New York, and Samar al-Glaq, 37, of Michigan. The two are suspected of training with a terrorist organization affiliated with Hezbollah. The Justice Department reported that the two tried to locate the Israeli and American embassies in Panama as well as other vulnerable targets in New York.

Hezbollah’s Unit 910 is the organization’s special unit tasked with carrying out attacks against targets abroad. Imad Mughniyeh, who was allegedly assassinated by Israel, was the unit commander in the past.
