Just a few days before US President Donald Trump’s historic trip to Israel, an unprecedented dispute was discovered between the President and Israeli officials. According to the report, the Israeli trip organizers requested to photograph Trump upon his visit to the Western Wall. In response, a senior-level American government official claimed that the Western Wall “is not your territory.”
Officials from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office asked Trump administration officials if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may accompany the President to the Western Wall, to which the Americans responded that it will be a private visit.
The Israeli officials also requested if an Israeli TV crew may accompany Trump in order to document the moment, to which the American official rudely answered: “What are you talking about? It’s none of your business. It’s not even part of your responsibility. It’s not your territory. It’s part of the West Bank.”
