The International Olympic Committee decided today, eight years after the Beijing Olympics, to strip Jamaican track champion Usain Bolt of the medal he won at the games. Although Bolt himself is not guilty, his teammate was caught for doping and now Bolt is no longer a triple-triple gold medalist.

Jamaican track star Usain Bolt lost one of his Olympic gold medals today (Wednesday) after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) found that his teammate, Nesta Carter, had been doping.
Bolt is losing his medal from eight years ago, when he participated in the 4×100-meter relay in the 2008 Beijing Games. Until today, Bolt was a triple-triple medalist, but he now only has eight gold medals.
It is important to note that no drugs were found in Bolt’s body. The IOC saves all samples from past games and now, because of technological advancements, they can locate specific materials.
