A dramatic scene broke out on live television as CNN correspondent Drew Griffin rescued a man who drove straight into a flooded ravine in Texas.
As Tropical Storm Harvey continues to flood Texas and Louisiana and as the number of casualties continues to rise, a dramatic moment was captures in Beaumont by CNN as correspondent Drew Griffin rescued a man on live television.
“We just literally rescued this guy,” Griffin is heard saying. “There was no time to call 911. He was floating down this ravine.” Griffin used a rope to save the man, who drove straight into the water that looked like a road.
Harvey is currently weakening as it travels further away from the sea. However, rainfall continues to fall in the southern states. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner called the government to quickly approve a budget for search and rescue efforts.
