Recently, the Israeli company MyHeritage headed to the Pastaza River basin in Ecuador to visit a tribe that has been living in the heart of the Amazon rainforest for thousands of years. The Achuar people lack access to modern technology and tools for researching, preserving, and sharing family history.
As a global leader in family history, MyHeritage believes that across a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds our lives and family traditions are shaped by the generations that came before us, and we all have much to learn from our ancestors.
Thanks to them, this fascinating tribe now have their memories, traditions, and heritage preserved forever.
MyHeritage is a unique mission set to record and preserve the family histories of tribal people around the world. To learn more click here.
