After eight years in the White House, Barack Obama was finally able to relax on a secluded island in the Caribbean alongside his family once Donald Trump was sworn in to lead America. However, Obama is already back in Washington, D.C. with his family.
Former US President Barack Obama left the White House and Washington in order to have a fun time with his close friend billionaire Richard Branson in the Caribbean. In photographs from the vacation, the former president is seen kitesurfing just off of the island that is privately owned by the billionaire.
Shortly after Donald Trump’s inauguration last month, the Obama family flew to Palm Springs, California, where the four enjoyed some quiet time. From there, they continued to the British Virgin Islands, where Branson’s island is located. According to reports, the family enjoyed the beach there for more than a week. Branson himself wrote in a blog post that it was an honor to host the former president and his family because they definitely deserved it.

Branson also mentioned that Obama came to the island with a goal: to learn how to kitesurf. In a video from the vacation that was released, Obama is seen trying to kitesurf. Like any typical beginner, he occasionally falls.
Obama is already back in Washington, D.C. with his family. Obama and his wife have decided to remain there at least until their youngest daughter Sasha finishes high school.
