Today, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie joined the long list of actresses who have accused famous American film producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. The New Yorker revealed a recording of Weinstein admitting the behavior.
Today (Tuesday), the New York Times revealed that famous actresses including Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie were also sexually harassed by American film producer Harvey Weinstein at the beginning of their professional careers.
According to Paltrow, Weinstein invited her to his hotel suite when she was 22 and freshly hired for the leading role in the movie “Emma”. The actress said that during the meeting, he placed a hand on her and suggested that they move into the bedroom for massages. “I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” she said in an interview. “I thought he was going to fire me.”

Paltrow refused and told her boyfriend at the time Brad Pitt, who confronted the producer. Later, she received a call from Weinstein, who even “screamed” at her for discussing the incident. Angelina Jolie had a similar experience. “I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did,” Jolie wrote in an email. “This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”

The two are joining a long list of actresses who are accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment. Over the years, the producer has launched careers of actors, producers and directors. Following the new discoveries, he was fired from his production company.
Earlier, the New Yorker revealed a recording of Weinstein, in which he is heard asking a model to watch him shower. In addition, he admits to groping her breast and promises not to do so again if she comes into his hotel room. After refusing him multiple times, he tells her to leave.
