During a television appearance on MSNBC. Vermont US Senator Bernie Sanders, a presidential candidate for the Democratic Party of 2020 has said that Israel’s funding should be cut off after their ”scandalous” act.

Sanders was referring to  Israel’s decision to ban entry to US Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, into the Jewish State because of their support for BDS.

”The idea that a member of the United States Congress cannot visit a nation which, by the way, we support to the tune of billions and billions of dollars, is clearly an outrage,” said Sanders

If Israel doesn’t want members of the United States Congress to visit their country to get a firsthand look at what’s going on,  and I’ve been there many, many times — but if he doesn’t want members to visit, maybe he can respectfully decline the billions of dollars that we give to Israel,” he added.

Sanders also blamed Israel’s decision on President Donald Trump, for tweeting out his support of banning the two congresswomen.

This is not the first time Sanders has suggested withdrawing US aid to Israel. Back in July Sanders said that  that he would not hesitate to use the aid as a means of pressure on the Israeli government “to act differently with the Palestinians.”

The United States is currently providing $3.8 billion in military aid to Israel.
