The stormy weather on Thursday night caused power outages and flooding in several locations across Israel. Police have blocked a number of major highways.

As of Friday afternoon, the wind and rain have gradually weakened, though floods are still possible in the south. Temperatures are expected to remain low over the weekend.

A large amount of snow fell on Mount Hermon, prompting a shutdown of the ski resort site.
