Australia has announced it’s position of West Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol yesterday, until East Jerusalem’s status is decided in any future peace agreement.

“Australia now recognizes West Jerusalem, being the seat of the [Israeli legislature] Knesset and many of institutions of the government, is the capital of Israel. West Jerusalem is the capital of Israel … We look forward to moving our embassy to West Jerusalem when practical in support of and after final status determination,” Morrison said during a speech in Sydney as broadcast by the SBS broadcaster.

The Palestinians obviously aren’t happy, but something was said by Palestinian Authority negotiator Saeb Erekat that threw Israeli’s through a loop.

“All of Jerusalem remains a final status issue for negotiations, while East Jerusalem, under international law, is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory,”  Erekat said

Even Israeli’s far left supporters never considered control of the western half of Jerusalem to be up for negotiation.

Though Israeli’s shouldn’t be surprised, as it is an open secret that the PLO and Hamas  believe the Jews have no right to the land. Of course publicly their leaders don’t say it (most of the time),  which is laughable as it’s the world’s worst kept secret.
