Milwaukee, Wisconsin: A driver whose car flew through the air and crashed into an apartment’s living room claims to have blacked out while driving. The tenant and driver were uninjured, though the driver may face charges for reckless driving.
A Milwaukee driver stood and watched helplessly as her SUV was pulled out of an apartment building Thursday morning. The driver claims she blacked out and told police that she has no idea how her car managed to fly through the air and crash into a living room a few inches from the sleeping tenant.
“I wake up to a ‘boom’ and a cloud of smoke. I didn’t know if it was a fire or what was going on,” said Theo, who lives in the apartment the vehicle crashed into.
Local police reported no one was injured in the accident, though Theo is unable to return home as the apartment is uninhabitable. Police suspect the driver will be charged with reckless driving.
