The IDF is investigating whether the explosive devices utilized for a terror attack were activated from a distance. An initial investigation of the explosion last night at the entrance of Hizma Village indicates that an IDF officer was critically injured after examining a suspicious object on the road. The officer got out of his car, advanced towards the suspicious object and then it exploded.
At the scene, 5 other explosive devices were found and a gas tank that did not explode. It is being examined whether it is connected to this terror attack. The IDF is examining whether the explosive device was activated via a cellphone.
Two soldiers, one of them an IDF officer, were injured. One of them was critically injured and the other one was mildly injured when an explosive device exploded at the entrance of Hizma Village near Pisgat Ze’ev. The officer was wounded in the face and was evacuated by medical teams. The other soldier was slightly injured in the hand and was treated. A civilian who was in the area and suffered from shock also received medical attention.
