45-year-old Nikki Haley is quickly becoming one of Israel’s best friends, primarily through her diligent efforts at the UN already during her first 100 days as the new US Ambassador. So who is this American diplomat and where did she get her start?

The US is Israel’s greatest and most important ally in the world, but this is not enough. For the last 100 days, Israel has had a particularly loyal friend at the UN who has fought against the unilateralism and biased decisions against Israel by the international body: US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley.

Haley born Nimrata Randhawa, the daughter of Indian immigrants, made history after serving as the first female governor of South Carolina. Under her leadership, South Carolina was the first state to enact a law against BDS activities, a testament of her support for Israel.

Since Donald Trump took office as the 45th US President almost 100 days ago, Haley has been serving as the 29th US ambassador to the UN, and since she assumed office, without prior diplomatic experience, she has defended Israel from the UN’s biased attitude against Israel, every time.

Ever since her appointment to the United Nations, the international body’s tone towards Israel has changed: “In our meeting on the Middle East, the discussion was not about Hezbollah’s illegal buildup of rockets in Lebanon. It was not about the money and weapons Iran provides to terrorists. No, instead the meeting focused on criticizing Israel, the one true democracy in the Middle East. The United States is determined to stand up to the UN’s anti-Israel bias.” declared Haley.
