While kids love pizza night, pizzas aren’t the most healthy dinner option out there. For parents who are looking to please their children by giving them the meal they want but also want to make sure they are eating healthy, Tnuva USA’s whole wheat pizza recipe is for you.

For the dough:
1 kg. whole wheat (70% or 80%) flour
2 tbsp. dry yeast
1 tbsp. salt
2.5 cups water
For the sauce:
8 tbsp. tomato sauce
200 grams Tnuva’s Mozzarella Loaf, grated
Optional toppings: fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, Tnuva’s Crumbled Sheep Feta, olives, etc.
1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together half a cup of water with the dry yeast and stir. Pour the yeast mixture onto the flour-salt mixture and then mix in the remaining two cups of water.
2. Let the dough rise for an hour (or more) and then divide the dough into four pieces. Grease your hands with a little bit of oil and then flatten each piece of dough into a circle on a baking tray.
3. For the sauce: Mix together the tomato sauce, ¼ cup of oil and spices: salt, oregano, parsley, basil, garlic powder, black pepper. Spread the sauce on the pies, sprinkle with mozzarella and toppings.
4. Bake until the crust has browned.
