The young Syrian girl who has captured the attention of the world by reporting what is happening in her home town of Aleppo disappeared from social media two days ago. However, yesterday, her Twitter account reappeared as she asked for the world to pray for her and her family.
The Twitter account of 7-year-old Bana al-Abed from Aleppo, who captured the attention of the world through her heart-breaking tweets describing her harsh life in the city, disappeared on Sunday. However, her account reappeared yesterday evening (Monday). “Under attack. Nowhere to go, every minute feels like death. Pray for us,” her mother, Fatemah, wrote on the account when it suddenly reappeared.
Fatemah also wrote the last tweet on Sunday: “We are sure the army is capturing us now. We will see each other another day dear world. Bye. – Fatemah.”
Al-Abed’s Twitter account mysteriously disappeared and no one was able to explain why it had been erased. The young girl has over 100,000 followers. Last week, she tweeted: “Tonight we have no house, it’s bombed & I got in rubble. I saw deaths and I almost died.”
